Written for and dedicated to trumpet teacher, mentor, and professional musician Kevin Maloney - adjunct professor of trumpet at Virginia Commonwealth University and SSgt. with the United States Army Band, the “Pershing’s Own” - this trumpet solo stands as the perfect piece for the fan of cornet solos who also enjoys classical music with a slight contemporary twist. As performed by the composer at the 2015 National Trumpet Competition.
