Volunteer Opportunities

Being a non-profit organization, volunteers are critical members of the Rising Tide team. Volunteer teammates range from independent interns gaining resume-building experience to community members invested in giving back and making a difference. If you're a knowledgeable, collaborative self-starter who is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in the arts, this is the place for you!

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Social Media Team

Our Social Media Team helps to increase public engagement with our composers, catalog and programs.

• Follow our social media pages and engage and share posts on a weekly basis

• Tag Rising Tide on your content-aligned posts and reposts (at least one per week)

• Follow our composers (per your networks and affinity groups) and engage and share important professional updates

• Promote program launches and special events

• Attend periodic Social Media Team meetings (remote)

Mentorship Team

The Mentorship Team the support necessary to deepen craft and expand reach.

• Participate in quarterly vetting of new submissions by our current composers

• Participate in periodic vetting of new composers’ submissions through open calls for scores, competitions and festivals

• Contribute to career development opportunities for composers, educators and other constituents

• Provide public reviews of works to be featured in showcases, special promotions, etc.

Fundraising Team

Our Fundraising Team garners support for this important work.

• Serve on the production and marketing team for larger fundraising events

• Actively promote crowdfunding campaigns and other social media fundraising efforts

• Identify and make connections with potential donors and funding opportunities
