Not only will this collection create new, age-appropriate music for young learners, but it will also provide educators with the tools they need to teach the music and the themes it touches upon.
This collection strives to meet the following goals and objectives:
To provide educators with culturally responsive pedagogical tools and materials.
To expose young minds to a wide range of contemporary African diasporic composers.
To develop a catalogue of accessible music for young musicians across various musical styles.
To mirror the rich and culturally diverse landscape in America while helping emerging Black composers publish their works.
To facilitate creative thought and interaction with the themes present in each of the compositions.
